RiFF RAFF Named in Top 5 Hip Hop Artists to See at CMJ2013

By | blog | No Comments

As part of their ‘Genre Spotlights,’ CMJ named the Top 5 Hip Hop artists that you should see this year. RiFF RAFF, naturally, was on that list.

via CMJ.com – “The Houston rapper is a Medusa-like mass of pop culture references, polka-dotted flow, and dead-dog beats that sound likedwuuuuup. He’s also the hip-hop Yoko Ono because I feel like he wants us to think he’s insane.”

You can catch RiFF RAFF performing alongside DJ Sliink, Lil Debbie, Heems, Dirty South Joe, and Weekend Money – Friday, October 18th at Irving Plaza NYC! Get your tickets HERE.

The residents of Pacha NYC just released “BOOM,” an electro-heavy anthem with a halftime breakdown smack dab in the middle. The duo samples LL Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out,” bringing old school hip hop into the picture and fusing it with modern day electro. Peep the main mix and dub mix below. See more on SikDuo here.
