Biography

Dave Giles II is a Chicago-bred, LA-based artist, producer, and songwriter whose penchant for Diasporic dance music has amassed radio spins and chart placements in over 30 countries and syncs in feature films. Notably, he is a co-writer and producer of Beyonce’s hit song, Cozy, from her #1 album, Renaissance. His collaboration with house music icons Honey Dijon & Mike Dunn, Work dominated UK radio. He has seen recent releases with indie labels Classic Music Co. (Defected), Snatch Records, Bastard Jazz, Razor-N-Tape, and Moodswing Music.
 
In partnership with producer Sam O.B. as Dave + Sam, they have worked extensively with UK-based Defected Records — including their acclaimed debut album No Shade (2021) and remixes by dance producers such as Derrick Carter, Nick Sylvester and Harry Romero. Dave + Sam’s new single "Love Feels" is a progressive summer pop confessional that furthers their mission to package love, empowerment, and socio-political commentary atop a globally-informed fusion of house, hip-hop, and electronic dance.
 
Through his musical journey, Dave has leveraged empathy, accessibility and craftsmanship to compose globally-informed jams from a localized perspective.
