If you need a soundtrack for the rest of summer and prefer a blend of booty-shakers to breezy tunes, DJ Benzi has delivered the perfect 44 track blend for whatever absurd dance captures the minds and lower-halves of Americans in August (my money’s on the already fast-ascending “gas pedal”). Premiered on his Diplo and Friends residency, Benzi’s mix features remixes from a who’s who of rising DJ’s and producers, pairing known quantities like DJ Sliink, Grandtheft, and, of course, Diplo, with lesser known talents like Belanger and Ape Drums, creatively mixing in tracks from Kendrick Lamar, Jay-Z, Missy Elliot, and Ice Cube, among others.
